Yes. TR90's key feature is its shape-memory. You can bend the temples to a near-flat position, and they will return to their original form. This makes it exceptionally resilient to the kind of accidents that would shatter normal plastic or acetate frames.

Q2. Can opticians adjust a TR90 frame like they can with acetate?

While TR90 is not adjusted with heat like acetate, its fit relies on its natural flexibility and ergonomic design. The temples gently hug the head, providing a secure fit without needing significant adjustments. This simplifies the dispensing process for opticians.

Q3. How does TR90 compare to a standard plastic (CP/PC) eyeglass frame?

TR90 is a significant upgrade. It is far more flexible, durable, and lightweight than standard plastics. It is also hypoallergenic, whereas many budget plastics are not. It represents a move from a "basic" to a "performance" category.

Q4. Is the surface of a TR90 frame scratch-resistant? And how well does brand logo printing work on it?

TR90 has good surface hardness and offers excellent resistance to minor, everyday abrasions. Its biggest advantage, however, is that the color is fully infused into the material, not just coated on the surface. This means that even if a deeper scratch occurs, it won't reveal a different base color, making the scratch far less noticeable. For branding, we offer two excellent options:

• Pad Printing: This is the most common method, allowing for crisp, durable, and vibrant multi-color logos on the temples.

For high-index lenses, which can be heavier, the strength of the TR90 material provides excellent support, while its own ultra-lightweight nature helps to offset the added lens weight, resulting in a final product that is still exceptionally light and comfortable for the wearer.

That's an excellent question. While TR90 is a polymer, its primary sustainability story comes from its extreme longevity and durability.

• Waste Reduction: TR90 frames are incredibly difficult to break. This significantly reduces the frequency of replacement, leading to less waste over time. The core environmental concept is "buy better, discard less."
• Material Purity: TR90 is free from harmful plasticizers like BPA, making it safer for both people and the environment.
• Recyclability: As a thermoplastic, TR90 is technically recyclable in facilities that process this type of material.

For sports collections requiring maximum grip, we also offer a co-injection process. This seamlessly embeds non-slip rubber or silicone tips and nose pads directly onto the TR90 frame, providing a premium, secure fit that stays in place even during the most intense activities.

Q8. How does the cost of TR90 compare to standard plastic frames? And how should I communicate its value to my customers?

The raw material and manufacturing costs for TR90 are indeed higher than for standard injection-molded plastic (CP/PC). However, you should communicate its superior "return on value," not just its price.
